Oh oh oh what a year! It seems like trials can be never ending and the impact of this past year will stay with us for an age.
Despite all this, LifeNoW is so grateful for the unstinting support we have had from supporters, patrons and funders and we can’t thank you enough. As a result, we have been able to recruit a new support worker to join Shelly and the Life NoW Derian Team.
Say hello to Lee Graham who will take up the role of LifeNoW Transition Nurse in the New Year. We are thrilled to be able to add nursing capacity to our support work bringing much needed skills and expertise to complement the team.
With the addition of Lee to the team we have achieved our target two workers by 2021 and our hope remains firm that with your help we will get to 8 workers by 2025.
In addition to the generosity of individual supporters we are grateful for the support of the churches, St. Cuthbert’s Fulwood, Preston and Interwoven Church in Bamber Bridge.
We have been making applications to trusts, foundations and the Lottery Community fund. As a result we want to say thanks to:
The Fort Foundation, The Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund, UKH Foundation, The Medicash Foundation, R S Brownless Charitable Trust,
Albert Hunt Trust, February Foundation, National Lottery Community Fund Awards for All.
Without all the support we could not have funded the new nursing role.
As we roll toward 2022 please continue to spread the word about LifeNoW and support the vital work of helping young adults with life-limiting conditions to get the very best from their short lives.
We have recently created a Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/lifenowuk so that individual supporters can get up to some heroic fundraising feats in 2022. If this sounds like fun then please let us know about your fundraising plans. Once again, thank you, thank you for for your support in 2021.
Stephen, Steve, Gill, Richard and Denise – Trustees.
